We’ve identified two key sustainability topics that are material for our operations, therefore, two workstreams have been established at OneSubsea to enable us to proper address these areas: Environmental Conservation and Circularity
At OneSubsea, we are helping our clients to address the environmental challenges posed by raw material demand. To this end, we have developed and implemented solutions aimed at repairing and extending the lifespan of our most critical assets.
OneSubsea, in collaboration with our clients, has successfully refurbished and reused parts of subsea Christmas Trees—key components in subsea production systems. These efforts not only extend the equipment's lifecycle but also maximize resource efficiency. Reusing subsea equipment does come with distinct challenges; however, it offers significant benefits such as leveraging previous testing, reducing costs, decreasing raw material demand, improving lead times, and minimizing the carbon footprint.
Our circularity approach ensures a longer and more efficient lifecycle for subsea equipment, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable production industry.
Water is an essential resource for our business and the communities we serve, making its protection vital. OneSubsea’s program aims to establish initiatives to reduce freshwater use where we operate.
The Waste management program focuses on measuring, tracking, and reducing waste through various initiatives across OneSubsea, aiming for waste reduction year-year. It also includes zero landfill initiatives.
Our engagement with local communities aims to integrate initiatives into our business, we also encourage and track volunteering programs and community impact to ensure our contributions.
